The objects in the shirt represent aspects of our culture...some right on the mark, some loosely (i.e. jobs, sports, family, vanity, sin, etc.). I am trying to pull from a ton of different sources to make the design speak/relate to everyone. Watch it grow! Action Hero out!

I just started on a rad shirt idea for Desiring God which is based off of a quote from the book "Don't Waste Your Life." This shirts topic is Fight The Fog, which deals with overcoming the good and bad things in life that take our attention away from Jesus...so I am loosely trying to illustrate things of our culture and life using objects and typography.

Hopefully each day I will post a part of the design (because it is going to have a ton of stuff on it)...wish me luck. So begins the progress. Action Hero out!

These guys at Electric Art are the real deal! Their retouching skills dominate! Every time I look at their work I feel like I haven't even tapped into the power of photoshop...and they have some awesome 3D dudes on their team, so that helps. Until next time true believers...Action Hero out!

Here is a rejected comp that I absolutely love! So did Desiring God, but they felt people would be turned off by the illustrations. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.

Long time no Blog!

So life has been absolutely crazy! My wife and I had a baby in Feb, we moved to Nashville 3 weeks later, and I started a new job as a designer at CMT. Whooo! In the midst of all that I have been scrambling at night to catch up on some freelance projects and add some new skills to my arsenal (you'll find out in about a year).

Well look forward to a lot of new work coming...projects include Beer For My Horses Onesheet (Toby Keith movie), Gone Country 2, Hulk Hogans Celebrity Wrestling, Decyfer Down CD Package, and hopefully a ton of fun stuff for Desiring God. Until next time true believers! Action Hero out.

So now I am in the business of designing babies :) This is mine and my wifes first child and she is soooo stinkin cool! She my lil sidekick! And I really can't take the credit for designing her...it was all Jesus...He knows how to make'em. She was born at 1:39pm on Feb 11th and we are pumped to finally have her here!

So I was watching TLC the other day and saw a type treatment that I designed...(top: Original bottom: tweeked)the agency tweeked it up a bit (great job BTW guys!), but still I think it looks a lot like the original and I am proud to have it on TLC! You Don't Mess With The Zohan!

I just wrapped up some one sheet designs for Adam Sandlers new movie "You Don't Mess With The Zohan!" It was an awesome project and i am happy with the results.
